Columbus and the surrounding communities offer a wide range of activities and attractions. Sports
fans can watch the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League, which plays in Nationwide
Arena downtown. Fans can also attend major-league soccer (the Crew), AAA baseball (the Clippers, an
affiliate of the New York Yankees), and the Ohio State Buckeyes, playing football, men’s and women’s
basketball, baseball, hockey and other sports. Concert-goers can take in the Columbus Symphony,
Ballet Met, Opera Columbus, and a variety of prominent touring acts. Internationally-known pop, rock,
and country stars also frequently stop in Columbus. Outdoor and recreational activities are available
in the many parks and on the superb golf courses throughout the county. Museums include the
Columbus Art Museum, the Ohio Historical Center, and Ohio’s Center of Science and Industry (COSI).
